Community Emergency Volunteer

If you would like to become a volunteer to help your community during times of need please either send us a message, email or call in to leave your details.
No experience is necessary, just a willingness to help.

We are looking to get a pool of local people who are willing to offer some assistance to the local community during times of need. Over recent years it has become apparent that our community needs a better response to emergency situations to help residents and businesses – with changes in weather patterns, the floods of December 2020 and more recently the fire at the Ice House Precinct.
The project is still in its early stages – firstly looking to see if we would have any volunteers, and then developing links with local community groups and businesses, as well as working with South Norfolk Council (who manage all emergency responses for Long Stratton) to develop a comprehensive plan.
An evening will be arranged soon for all who are interested to meet and we will share the Emergency Response Plan with you all. There will be outlined possible situations that may arise, roles that may be required to deal with these situations and how we would manage our local response.

Thank you!
