Hello, I'm really excited to let everyone know that the drop-in Youth Café, at The Pavilion in Manor Rd Playing Fields, Long Stratton, will be opening regularly on Wednesdays, starting on the 15th May. We will open from 3.45 -5.15 pm for ages 11-16 years and from 5.45-7.15pm for young people aged 16+.

We will also be having a Junior Youth Café session for ages 8-11 years during the May half-term. Places are limited for this session and you will need to book a place.

Long Stratton Easter Market

Businesses of Long Stratton have come together to celebrate Easter where they are hosting the 'Long Stratton Easter Market' which is taking place on Saturday 30th March 2024 from 12pm until 6pm.

Anastasia will be opening The Club Room during the second week of the Easter break, for another drop-in Youth Café. I would also love to hear from you if you are interested in volunteering as a member of staff, to support the development of informal youth activities in Long Stratton.

Kings Coronation Celebrations

We are looking for stall holders to join us at our next community event which is being held on Monday 8th May from 1pm until 7pm on the Manor Road playing fields to celebrate the Kings Coronation!

Do you have a craft you would like to sell?  Or a local business or club who would like a stall to either sell products or perhaps run a game or just to raise awareness for what you do, all welcome!

Norfolk Constabulary are holding two engagement surgery sessions soon where they will be available to chat to about local policing issues or concerns.

Vandalism in the community

Several incidents of vandalism and graffiti have occurred at both Manor Road playing fields and the Swan Lane public toilets recently.

Temporary Traffic Order

NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Order affecting the U76180 Parkers Lane from its junction with A140 Ipswich Road for 1150m south-eastwards in the TOWN OF LONG STRATTON because of trial hole work.

​

The road will be temporarily closed (except for access) from 1st to 2nd September 2022 for the duration of the works expected to be about 2 days within the period.
