Vandalism in the community

Several incidents of vandalism and graffiti have occurred at both Manor Road playing fields and the Swan Lane public toilets recently.

Temporary Traffic Order

NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Order affecting the U76180 Parkers Lane from its junction with A140 Ipswich Road for 1150m south-eastwards in the TOWN OF LONG STRATTON because of trial hole work.

The road will be temporarily closed (except for access) from 1st to 2nd September 2022 for the duration of the works expected to be about 2 days within the period.

Community Emergency Volunteer project

Long Stratton Town Council are creating a Community Emergency Volunteer Team that can be called upon during times where volunteers are needed to support the community.

Fire in the Community

Shockingly, some homes and businesses at the Ice House Precinct were recently affected by a large fire.  Our thoughts are with all those affected.

 

South Norfolk District Council are offering help to those affected.  See post for the Help Hub contact information.

Newsletter out now

The summer edition of our newsletter is out now!  It has recently been delivered to all the residents of Long Stratton.  

Long Stratton Town Councils Newsletter

We have started our own newsletter for the community, which is full of information about what the Town Council have been doing recently, any events that are coming up and some useful information.  It gets delivered to all residents quarterly.  If for any reason you didn't get one then please contact the office as we have spares available.
