This application having been previously objected to by Long Stratton Council and refused by South Norfolk District Council has since been the focus of a public enquiry held by the Planning Inspectorate. The Inspector heard from both South Norfolk District Council and Orbit who presented cases to the Inspector. The Inspector also heard from interested parties, Chairman; Councillor Kevin Worsley spoke on behalf of Long Stratton Town Council. The Inspector is expected to review all information and will make a decision on whether to award Orbit planning permission in 14 days time. Proposal:

Hybrid Application on 45.2 hectares of land to the west of the A140 seeking outline planning permission for 387 no. dwellings and 1.5 hectares of Class B1 employment land, associated infrastructure and public open space. Together with application for full permission for a bypass including roundabouts and junctions.
